The first thing you need to know is that HTTP Debugger is not meant for regular users, it is meant for developers, programmers, and other professionals who need a powerful and versatile HTTP sniffer and analyzer for Windows. If you fit the bill, then you’re very well advised to go get this handy tool.

HTTP Debugger provides support for any Windows edition from Windows 2000 onward. It does not need any special software, it does not need Java, it does not need Microsoft’s .NET Framework. If you have a PC that runs Microsoft’s Windows operating system, that is enough.

Speaking about support, it must be mentioned that HTTP Debugger supports all major browsers: Google’s Chrome, Mozilla’s Firefox, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, and Opera Software’s Opera. It must also be mentioned that HTTP Debugger supports any other application that runs on Windows and uses the HTTP protocol.

Download an installer, run it, and a setup wizard will show up and guide you through all the steps you need to take to install HTTP Debugger on your Windows PC. Thanks to this simple setup wizard you will very, very quickly install HTTP Debugger on your PC. I bring this up only to mention that you will be installing a trial version that is free to use for an evaluation period of 14 days. To keep using HTTP Debugger on the trial expires, you will have to register it.

HTTP Debugger has a ribbon interface, meaning that buttons for all the features, functions, and settings are presented on a ribbon, at the top. The ribbon can be hidden out of sight, obviously. If you feel like it’s in the way, you can very easily hide the ribbon out of sight. There are a few other ways of customizing how HTTP Debugger’s interface looks like: by picking one of several themes (White, Blue, Silver, Black), by choosing what panes are displayed on the interface, or by switching between flat list mode and advanced tree mode.

HTTP Debugger can be used to: analyze web traffic; monitor server applications; redirect TCP/IP connections and simulate server responses; decrypt HTTPS sessions; uncover performance bottlenecks; analyze HTTP headers, query strings, cookies, redirections, and more; view a webpage’s or a script’s source code; review charts and diagrams; and more.

If you have any problems figuring out how to use HTTP Debugger, check out the Getting Started Guide or the detailed Manual that are available online.

Developers are sure to love HTTP Debugger, a powerful and versatile HTTP sniffer and analyzer for Windows.
